Last Thursday, Gimme Some Sugar in LaFayette was home to a truly beautiful love offering as they held “Spoil the family of J’Mar Abel”, as the community turned out big for the event and packed the care of the expecting mom.
Jamine Gaddist, who is the widow, and expected mother of the fallen Chambers County Sheriff's Deputy was the welcomed guest to the store as the community dropped off guests as a sign of love, and appreciation for Abel who was recently taken in the line of duty.
“People from the community just kept stopping by to shower us with gifts. I have never experienced a community so passionate, so loving and so supportive, ”said Gaddist.
A small crowd gathered to show Gaddist just how much Abel meant to the department as well as the community.
