CCSD Welcomes Adria Staton As New Child Nutrition Director




The Chambers County School District is pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Adria Staton as the system’s new Child Nutrition Program Director. Mrs. Staton succeeds the district’s former Child Nutrition Program Director, Mrs. Donna Pike. Mrs. Pike will be retiring in the near future after 40 years of distinguished service for the children of Chambers County.


Mrs. Staton’s appointment as the new CNP Director was approved at the CCSD Board Meeting conducted on Tuesday, June 14th. Mrs. Staton will officially transition into her new role on as the CCSD’s CNP Director on Monday, July 18th. Likewise, Mrs. Pike will continue to assist Mrs. Staton with her transition into the role as she passes the CNP Director’s role onto Mrs. Staton.


Mrs. Staton was selected for the CNP Director’s role after a very competitive interview process. She is very experienced in the field of culinary arts and food service management with more than 20 years of experience. She is a native of nearby Auburn where she was raised in Lee County. She attended and graduated from Auburn High School prior to beginning her post-secondary studies in culinary arts. Mrs. Staton earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Food Service Management in 2001 from Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina.


Currently, Adria and her husband Chris reside in Opelika. The Staton’s have one son, Silas who is in the 4th grade and attends West Forest Intermediate School. Mrs. Staton is excited to be joining the Chambers County School District as the system’s new CNP Director. She previously served as the Area Manager for Performance Food Group of East Alabama and West Central Georgia since 2017. She has experience as both a chef and kitchen manager at both the K-12 level and Post-Secondary Level including a role serving college students at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee.


Chambers County Schools Superintendent, Casey Chambley shared that the district is fortunate to have benefited from the long-time leadership for outgoing CNP Director, Donna Pike. Feeding our children is a huge responsibility that we don’t take lightly. Chambley added that he is pleased the district could hire and find the right fit with Mrs. Staton’s experience as the new CNP Director as she has extensive work in Food Service Management.


Mrs. Adria Staton is looking forward to beginning her new career challenge as the Child Nutrition Director for Chambers County Schools. We look forward to her joining our Child Nutrition Team on July 18th. Welcome to Chambers County Schools Adria Staton, we are glad you are here!
