Chambers Commission Recognize Diane Perry, And Proclaim August 5th, As Day Of Prayer

LAFAYETTE- On Monday, the Chambers County Commission recognized Mrs. Diane Chambers for organizing Chambers County's annual Day of Prayer. A movement that started 21 years ago in LaFayette. This years day of prayer will be observed on Friday, August 5th. Commissioner Doug Jones read the proclamation.
"I have been knowing Mrs. Diane a long time, and she always does a great job in getting people together for this day of prayer. We are thankful for her for doing just that", said Jones.
"~If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins, and heal the land~ 2 Chronicles 7:14", read Jones,
I hereby proclaim August 5th, 2022, as a day of prayer for Chambers County", added Jones
Perry told Gator Media afterward that the county supported the day of prayer 21 years ago just before 911, and that she hopes to continue the movement as we move foward.
