Chambers County DTF Releases End of Year Report

LAFAYETTE- On Tuesday, the Chambers County Drug Task Force released their year-end totals for 2021. Those totals include the following:


  • 138 individuals have been arrested on a total of 475 charges

  • 500 warrants for arrest were signed

  • 34 weapons ranging from handguns to long guns were seized

  • 8 vehicles utilized in trafficking and transporting narcotics were seized

  • $43,378.91 in US Currency was seized

  • 4.92 lbs. of marijuana was seized with a street value of $20,000.00

  • 2 ounces of powder cocaine were seized with a street value of $3,750.00

  • 279 prescription pills were seized with a street value of $2,790.00

  • 3.84 lbs. of methamphetamine was seized with a street value of $104,520.00

  • Total Street Value of narcotics seized- $131,060.00

"The Chambers County Drug Task Force would like to thank all the surrounding agencies on the local, county, state, and federal levels without whose support and assistance such a level of success would not have been achieved," said Chambers County DTF Commander Steve Smith in a release.
