Chambers County School District Host New Teacher Orientation



On Monday, August 1st, members of the Chambers County Board of Education team joined together to host twenty-six new teachers that were recently hired by the district. A new teacher orientation program was hosted at Langdale United Methodist Church with both breakfast and lunch provided for all of the new hires.

Superintendent, Casey Chambley greeted staff and welcomed them to the Chambers County team while covering high expectations for professionalism. Mr. Chambley noted special appreciation to Terri’s Mill Village Café for sponsoring the new teacher orientation luncheon and Kelly Services for sponsoring the morning breakfast. Dr. Sheila Jones joined with multiple directors from the district level to coordinate the new teacher orientation for staff with training on finances, technology, testing, safety, special education, transportation, mentoring support, ELL supports, and Federal programs.
