Sheriff Lockhart would like to notify the citizens of Chambers County that it has been brought to our attention someone is calling and identifying themselves as an employee of our agency.
They will explain you have a warrant for your arrest for failure to appear, and ask for money via a green dot card.
This is a scam. We will NEVER call you to let you know you have a warrant for your arrest, ask for money over the phone, or request green dot or gift card payments for fines.
