Juneteenth 2022 kicks off with an outdoor Juneteenth Gospel Fest on the rear ballfields of the L B Sykes Community Center on June 4. This event is free and food vendors will be on site.
Beginning at 5:30 pm, bring a lawn chair, popup tent or blanket and enjoy artists from across the country and region. The featured artist is Trello Foreman, from San Diego, California. Also performing are Full Armor, Sharlotte Truitt, Jay B, Pilgrim Baptist and Mt. Hermon Baptist church choirs, the Fannings Family, the Lewis Family and more. Donations from this program will support the Lanett Park and Recreation Youth Programs.
Juneteenth 2022 is hosted by the City of Lanett in partnership with the Greater Valley Juneteenth Committee.
