City of Valley Lights Annual Christmas Tree

VALLEY- On Monday, Valley Mayor Tem Randall Maddux along with the rest of the Valley Council, and West End Baptist Church sang Christmas Carols in front of City Hall followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Chambers County Probate Judge Paul Story, a former member of the Valley Council played Christmas music throughout the event and members of the West End Baptist Church provided Cider as well as cookies for the annual tree lighting.

Valley Mayor Leonard Riley was out of town, and in his absence, the council was in the holiday spirit full of Christmas. Pastor Don Downs from West End Baptist prayed for peace goodwill and blessings for the City of Valley.

The wonderful carols of Christmas classics such as "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer", "Silent Night", and "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" rang through the air followed by the annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

The red Merry Christmas sign which was lit up had the motorist on Fob James Drive feeling jolley as they drive by.
