Mr. Daniel O’Neal Mason, 92, a resident of Valley, AL passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at EAMC in Opelika, AL. A private graveside service will be held at Johnson Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Betty D. Mason; two daughters, Deborah (Bill) Blackmon & Marie (Jimmy) Ingram; five grandchildren, William (Kate) Blackmon, Anna (Jose) Cantillo, Beth (Mike) Klemm, Michael (Heather) Ingram, Samantha (David) Rivers; seven great-grandchildren; brother, James H. (Peggy) Mason, Jr.; and a sister, Elaine (Tommy) Smith.
Mr. Mason was born in Fairfax, AL on October 29, 1929. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War and retired from West Point Pepperell. He was a member of Langdale Congregational Church in Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Langdale Congregational Church or to one’s favorite charity.
