GVACC To Host Rockingfest Saturday
LAFAYETTE- Who's dreaming of a rocking Christmas? On Saturday, The Greater Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual RockingFest from the Courthouse Square in LaFayette.
Once again the major attraction will be the World’s Largest Rocking Horse as this will be its third appearance in Chambers County. Additionally, there will be Ice-Skating Rink, Snow-Zilla Jr., Everest Climb-N-Slide, inflatables, a live DJ playing those Christmas classics, and of course ole jolly Santa along with his friends. The Holiday event is truly one of the biggest county-wide events that provide local tourism that reaches all across East Alabama and West Georgia.
"We hope this will become a tradition for many families in our community for years to come", said Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Carrie Wood.
There will be food, arts and crafts, and many other holiday vendors on hand that are sure to put everyone in the holiday spirit.
"We are expecting great weather for a winter wonderland atmosphere with eighty-plus vendors as well as a tailgate. So bundle up, and come out for all the holiday festivities", added Wood.
