Hope Heals Within Host Annual Breast Cancer Walk

LAFAYETTE- On Saturday, the Hope Heals Within Support Group hosted its annual Breast Cancer Walk. A group of approximately 25 made the walk from the courthouse to the LaFayette High Band Field, and then back to the downtown area as they released balloons in memory of those who have passed from the dreadful disease, and in honor of the survivors who are still fighting the good fight.

balloons" Hope Heals Within meets quarterly, and we use social media to put the word out. We are also able to give a sizeable donation to the Spencer Cancer Center at EAMC in Opelika", said Jeanette Jones, a ten-year cancer survivor with Hope Heals Within.
Other members of Hope Heals Within joined Jones for reflection on what the cancer walk means to them during a ceremony following the walk.
"We are so blessed with our family, and friends, and we are so grateful for the support. I also want to thank the students with Skills USA from Wedowee Career Tech who are in attendance", added Jones.
Afterward, Reverand Terry Magby with the Mt. Sellers Baptist Church led the group in prayer followed by the releasing of the ballons.
