Story by Gator Kincaid

LANETT- On Monday, the newly appointed Lanett District 3 Councilman Ronnie Tucker was sworn into office surrounded by family, and friends as his colleagues on the council looked on.
City Attorney Stanley Gray administered the oath, as Tucker, accompanied by his wife Michelle was sworn in.
"I would like to say thank you to all my constituents, the ones that supported me. I just want District 3 to know that I'm going to serve you, and I'm going to do what I said I'm going to do. So look for the next council meeting, and I have a lot of stuff that's going to be on the table. I want to also thank my wife Michele. She is the one that keeps me going, and she's the one that told me to run if I wanted to make a change. That's exactly what I decided to do. God has put me in this position, and I'm going to take advantage of it. District 3, I won't let you down", said Tucker in his first statement as Lanett District 3 Councilman.

Tucker is part of a Lanett Council that will be in office until 2025, a council that is optimistic about moving Lanett forward.
