Mr. Kevin Cotney, age 48, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, September 2nd, 2022 at his residence.
Kevin was born on October 11th, 1973 at Langdale Hospital in Valley. He attended Valley High School and was the Owner / Operator of Cotney Pest Control in Valley. He enjoyed working and visiting with all of his customers. He was a big University of Alabama fan.
Kevin is survived by his mother, Joyce (Ronnie) Hurst of Lanett, Alabama; brother, Joey Cotney; step-sister, Cheryl White; step-brother, Ronald Hurst.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Cotney; grandparents, L. M. and Lucille Cotney and Leon and Nell Holmes.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 at 2:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Mr. Mike Moncrief will officiate. Kevin’s family will receive friends Tuesday, afternoon from 1:00 PM (EST) until the service hour at the funeral home.
Kevin was a long-time sponsor of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org in his memory.
