LANETT- On Monday, Lanett Mayor Jamie Heard and the council approved the Sales Tax Rebate of Guthrie’s. All of the council with the exception of Councilman Tony Malone voted yes for the measure.
Malone explained his decision in detail prior to the vote.
Chris Busby from the Chambers IDA, was in attendance and spoke briefly on the matter following the vote.
“At this time per council’s request, I will begin drafting the project agreement and submit it to Lanett City Attorney Stanley Grey for him to approve and bring before the council so the city and the company can enter into an agreement”, said Busby.
