Mr. Ronald Dale Vickers, age 61, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, March 30th, 2022 in Auburn, Alabama. He was born on July 27th, 1960 in Troy, Alabama.


Dale was a member of Pine Grove Church in Opelika, Alabama. He was a hard-working gentleman who enjoyed being outdoors. He was a big Auburn fan and enjoyed watching all Auburn athletics. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and granddogs.


Dale is survived by his wife, Angie D. Vickers; daughters, Hayley F. (Tri) Nix, Hillary G. Vickers, and Crystal N. (Taylor) Huttenloch; grandchildren, Clementine, Tidus, and Coraline; mother, Shirley Ann Vickers; brother, Rob (Cindy “Ann”) Vickers.


He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Clyde Vickers; grandparents, Woodrow Wilson Messick and Lillie Mae Rhodes Messick and William C. Vickers and Evelyn E. Slauson Vickers.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 1st, 2022 at 3:00 PM (EST) / 2:00 PM (CST) at Pine Grove Church in Opelika. Interment will follow in Fairfax Cemetery in Valley. Pastor Ricky Thomaston will officiate. Dale’s family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EST) / 1:00 PM (CST) until the service hour at the church.


In lieu of flowers, Dale’s family requests that donations be made to Compassus Hospice, 1171 Gatewood Dr., Building 100, Auburn, Alabama 36830 in his memory.

Mr. Marcus T. Pogue, 35 of Roanoke, AL passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at EmoryUniversity Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Public Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. CST until 6:00 p.m. CST, at Silmon Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette, AL.

Graveside Service will be Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. CST, at Canaan Baptist Church in Roanoke, AL (Welch Community), Rev. Michael Goss, Officiating, Rev. Calvin Trammell, Eulogist.


Mr. Pogue will truly be missed but never forgotten. His memories will forever be cherished by his children, Zy’Keriuna Pogue, Zy’Mircale Pogue, and Korbin Pogue all of Roanoke, Alabama; his parents, Michael, and Priscilla Woods; brothers, Kelvin Appleby (Amber), Kerry Pogue, both of Roanoke, Alabama, and Mekeldric Shealy of LaFayette, Alabama; sister, Tameka Shealy (Stanley Caldwell) of LaFayette, Alabama; grandmother, Mary Liza Appleby of Roanoke, Alabama; aunts, Kimberly Goss and Samantha (Rondell) Burkes both of Roanoke, Alabama; uncles, Greg (Shavonica) Goss and Robert Appleby both of Roanoke, Alabama; special friends, Jayla Spratling, Johnny Houston, Mario Drummonds, and Detae Heard; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.


Mrs. Hattie M. Brown, 76 of Lanett, AL passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Public visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.


Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 2:00 PM CST at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in LaFayette, AL, with Pastor Calvin Marshall, Officiating.


She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter Shantel Hutchinson of Brooklyn, New York, five sisters: Rev. Bettye (Willie) Ray, Catherine Huguley, Christine (Rev. Jimmy) Thomas, and Earline Ferrell, all of LaFayette, AL and Shirley Sims of Opelika, AL, one brother, Alton Hutchinson of LaFayette, AL, a special friend, Charlie Watkins, special cousins, Jimmie Sue Scott, Richard Dawson, Tommy Dawson and Richard Carter, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
