Johnson Brown Funeral Home announces the passing of Mrs. Lois Catherine Fetner, 97, of Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.
Mrs. Fetner was born on April 1, 1925, to the late Walter Birditt and Sally Birditt. Sally lived to be 99.5 years old just shy of a century. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil “Bill” Fetner, and siblings, Arnold Birditt, Robert Birditt, Elorie Dempsey, Cloe Smith, and Billie Feazell.
Mrs. Lois Fetner is survived by her daughter Sandra (John) Walden, grandchildren, Shane Walden, Samantha (Patrick) Bolt, Bleu Walden, and great-grandchildren, Michael Walden, Kelsie Workmen, Malorie Bolt, Chandler Bolt, Kaley Walden, Gavin Walden, Kamry Bell; special granddaughter-in-law, Leslie Walden.
Mrs. Fetner was a member of Calvary Family Worship Center in Valley, Alabama. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a good Christian lady who was faithful to read and pray and never failed to thank God for all of her blessings. She had a special place in her heart for her daughter Sandra. She loved her dearly and reminded her often how much she appreciated her for all she had done in taking care of her.
Mrs. Fetner was an avid yard worker and took pride in her yard and flowers. She continued to keep them maintained up to the age of 91. She enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the birds and admiring her flowers.
She was a funny lady who loved to laugh and make people laugh. Laughter is the best medicine and gave her a long fulfilling life.
Her family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Chattahoochee Hospice and the nurses at Lanier Nursing Home for their patience and love during this difficult time.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, June 19, 2022.

Johnson-Brown also announces the passing of Ronald Wayne “Ron” Foster, 83, a resident of, Valley, Alabama passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022, at his residence.
Ron was born on December 23, 1938, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late C.D. Foster and Evelyn Marie Blankenship Foster. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Angela Foster, and siblings, Harold Foster and Sharon Cochran.

Mr. Foster was a hard-working man. He retired from the West Point Pepperell Company with over 30 years of service. He served as an electrician and plant engineer working in the Shawmut Mill, Langdale Mill, and Dixie Mill in LaGrange, Georgia.
He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Opelika, Alabama. Ron was a good Christian man who was always active within the church. He taught Sunday school, served as a deacon and treasurer in different churches over the years, and he ran the Bus Ministry serving the community and bringing children into the church.
He enjoyed golfing, old war movies, and westerns. He was an avid University of Alabama football fan and a White Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nancy B. Foster; children, Kenneth W. Foster, Wanda D. Kincaid, Jeffrey S. Foster, Linda D. Kincaid, Jonathan P. Foster, Timothy W. Foster, Rebecca J. Whiteford, Paul D. Foster, Grace J. Gourley; siblings, Charles Foster, Jean Majors, Juanita Martin, Carole White, Pat Baldwin, Deborah Talley; 29 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, at, 2:00 P.M. EDT at the Johnson 2:00 P.M.Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. The Reverend Thad Endicott will be officiating.

Vines Funeral Home of LaFayette announces the passing of Mrs. Nyelshulia Vesta Lewis Rich, 38, of Anniston (formerly of Roanoke), and her infant daughter (called Sunshine). Both passed on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Regional Medical Center, in Anniston.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Silmon Seroryer Funeral Home announces the passing of Mattie Ruth Trammell, who was born on November 7, 1942, in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Daisy (Nee Ware) and Rufus Trammell, Sr.
She was educated in the Chambers County School System where she attended and graduated from Chambers County Training School.
She was baptized and became a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
When Mattie Graduated from high school, she moved to Brooklyn, New York. There, she made a wonderful life for herself. Mattie enjoyed life! She enjoyed all that life had to offer….spending time with her family and friends, traveling, a good party, the theater, entertainment, and enjoying all that New York City had to offer.
On May 30, 2022, in Ocala, Florida, Mattie made her transition. She was 79 years of age. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Ben, Carlene, and, Rufus Trammell, Jr. She leaves cherished memories to her sisters, Annie Jo Vines, and Phyllis Trammell.
