Johnson Brown Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Thomas Gabrielle Antley, 45 of Valley, AL passed away Saturday, April 29, 2022 at his residence.
Mr. Antley is survived by his daughter, Danielle Antley; sisters & brothers, Tina Prestridge, Tammy White, Richard Antley, Jr. Jason Antley, Sr., & Jody Antley; and a number of nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard David Antley, Sr., & Peggy Jo McManus Antley.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date by the family.

Jeff Jones announces the passing of the following:
Edwin D. (Rusty) Abernathy, Jr. formerly of Opelika and Waverly, Alabama passed away April 28, 2022 after a hard fought battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born September 3, 1947 in Valley, Alabama (Langdale), Rusty as he was known by all was preceded in depth by his parents Edwin Davis Abernathy, Sr., and Yvonne W. Abernathy, as well as a grandson Brent Abernathy.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years Diane Helton Abveernathy, son Jason (Christy) Abernathy, daughter Leigh (Dave) Cannon, along with grandchildren Michael (Kelsey) Abernathy, Ansley (Dalton) Moon, Graham Cannon, Ryan Bond and Peyton Still, his great grandchildren Parker, Gacie, Luke, and Lilly, he is also survived by 2 brothers Mark (Donna) Abernathy, Charlie (Nancy) Abernathy as well as a host of brothers and sisters in law and many nieces and nephews. To know him was to love him!
The second love of Rusty's life was law enforcement having served at the Lee County Sheriff's office, City of LaFayette and the City of Opelika where he mentored many young officers and others. Rusty graduated from Valley High School (class of 1965) and attended Southern Union State Community College. Until his illness prevented it he was a faithful member of the Waverly Baptist Church in Waverly, Alabama.
A celebration of life and visitation will be held Monday May 2, 2022 at 1PM (CT) at the Waverly Community Center 2114 Patrick Street Waverly, Alabama 36879

Mrs. Margaret Beaird 92 of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday April 28, 2022 at the Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.
Mrs. Beaird was born in Roanoke, Alabama May 17, 1929 to the late Paul Homer Beaird and the late Mary Emma Greene Beaird, she was a member of the Perry Hill United Methodist Church in Montgomery and retired from the State Department of Education after 41 years of service.
Funeral services were held on Sunday May 1, 2022 at 1:30PM at the Perry Hill United Methodist Church with burial to follow at the New Hope Christian Church Cemetery in Roanoke, Alabama at 4:30PM (CT) with the Rev. Mark Osgood and the Rev. Luke Finkelstein officiating.
She is survived by her Cousins Henry H. Adair of Montgomery, Al., Catherine Pearson of Wadley, Al., Nancy Adair Wollinger of Homassa, Fl., Charlotte Dewberry of Cumming, Ga., Ann Allen of Tucker, Ga., Patsy Lowe Haffner of Foley, Al., Ben Beaird of Roanoke, Al., Jane Beaird Williams of Louisiana, and a large extended family that loved her dearly caregivers Dee Dee, Sarah, Lucy, Sand, Shay, Melvin Robinson and Patsy Patton.
