Johnson Brown announces the passing of the following:
Richard Jerry Brown, 81, son of the late Avery Brown and late Mary Fetner Brown, died on Sunday, September 4, 2022, of natural causes. Jerry was also preceded in death by his eldest son Rick Brown.
Jerry was living in Lagrange, Georgia at the time but, was originally from Huguley, Alabama. He spent many years in Florida, Georgia, Japan, Texas, and of course, his home state of Alabama.
He served in the Air Force Reserve for four years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing, Scouting, the Auburn Tigers, and serving southern bar-b-q at his restaurant Happy Trails when it was open in Roanoke, Alabama.
He is survived by his sister Barbara Lewis; his children Robin (Donnie) Gillenwaters, Susan (Jim) Strickland, and his two sons Jerome (Teresa) Brown and Daniel Brown; his ex-wife Deborah Brown, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held for Jerry on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
Davis Memorial Mortuary announces the passing of Mr. Charles L. Trammell III, a resident of San Antonio, TX, who passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Ft. Worth, TX.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from O. H. Ministries, in Lanett, AL, with Bishop Bertha H. Hodge, Pastor, and Pastor Mamie Pennington, Eulogist.
Charles Louis Trammell III, affectionately called “Stoonk”, was born on August 31, 2001, to Charles and Shenica Tucker Trammell in Heinsberg, Germany. He left this world tragically on August 27, 2022, at age 20. Charles III was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and teammate.
Charles III attended O’Connor High School in San Antonio, TX. He played football in high school and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. His dream was to further his education and play in the NFL. He graduated from O’Connor High School in 2019 and accepted a football scholarship to attend Texas Wesleyan University beginning his football career with the Texas Wesleyan Rams Football Team in Fort Worth, TX.

Carter of Roanoke, AL, two sisters, Willie Dell Carter of Roanoke, AL, and Johnnie (Roger) Jackson of Lanett, AL, two goddaughters, Rosemary (Dondi) Smith and Mattie Ruth (Roderick) Butler, her caregivers, Kathy (Charles) Daniel, James Carter, Toni Carter, Terry Carter and Patrick Avery, godchildren: Dondi Smith, Jr., Kerri Drake, Kimberly Carter, Kaylah Carter, Jaylah Sturdivant, Coria Sturdivant, Jacorey Carter, Gabrielle Carter, Noah Harmon, Tammar Washington, Kameshia (Anthony) Baker, Michelle (James) Daley, Luciouse Carter, Vandrell Carter, JR Washington, Doris Carter, Michael T.
