Johnson Brown Funeral Home announces the passing of Randall Harty Morgan, 71, of McCalla, AL, formerly of Lanett, AL entered the gates of Heaven on April 16, 2022. Harty was born on October 26, 1950, to the late James Tom Morgan and the late Ruby Cotney Morgan.
He spent most of his career as a heavy crane operator until forced to medically retire in 2014. He loved spending time with his family, friends and dogs. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Auburn football, and westerns.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Morgan, of McCalla. Daughters, Christie (Victor) Hale of Beulah, AL, and Melissa Morgan of Valley, AL. Six grandchildren, Kayla (Chris) James, Hezekiah Morgan, Elijah Morgan, Quinton Hale, Morgan Hale, and Zayden Morgan. Two great-grandchildren, Conner & Braxton James. Four bonus children, Lisa Martin, Charles (Marcy) Langley, Wanda Bratton Suarez, Jessica (David) Brown. 13 bonus grandchildren, 9 bonus great-grandchildren; and a special friend and the mother of his children,
Terry Williams. He is also preceded in death by his only brother, Larry Morgan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM EST from the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Edge officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett, AL. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 1:00 PM EST on Wednesday at the funeral home.
