Johnson-Brown announces the passing of Mr. Charles Wesley Gore, age 45, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mr. Gore was born on August 31, 1976, to Sheila Diane Hendrix and the late Huey Gore.
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Diane Hendrix; children, Tyler (Elizabeth) Gore, Austin Gore; fiancé, Christy Craft; brother, Shane Gore; grandchildren, Lyliah Gore, Kaceson Gore, Maverick Gore, Carrie Craft; former spouse and mother to Tyler and Austin, Mary Gore.
Wesley enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hanging out with his friends, and he was always tinkering or fixing something. He also loved working at “Carpet for Kids” the industry leader in high-quality, educational area rugs for educators and kids.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. EDT at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel in Valley. The Reverend Don Downs officiating. His family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. EDT until 11:00 A.M. EDT.

Rita Joyce Bledsoe “Rita Pearl”, 63, a resident of Lanett, AL passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, at EAMC in Opelika.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM EST Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Fairfax Cemetery in Valley, AL. with Rev. Carl Benedict officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. Family and friends will assemble at the gravesite for the service.
Survivors include her sister, Gail Edwards (Doug); brother, Chris Bell (Donna); Godmother, June Henderson; Godsister, Tammy Henderson Wood; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Bell & Joe Bell; and brothers, Mike Bledsoe & Dennis Bledsoe.
She was born in Opelika, AL on September 6, 1958, and worked at EAMC Lanier in Valley for 14 years. She was known to keep the residents and staff in good spirits by her singing and infectious laughs. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Valley.

Vicky Brown-Jones, 68, of Valley, AL was born in Chambers County on February 5, 1954. She passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022.
Vicky went into the textile industry soon after high school and remained there until it closed. She then went to work at Lanier Hospital where she became the Environmental Manager. She remained there until she retired in 2017.
Vicky was a sweet, mild-mannered person that everyone loved. She will be missed by all that knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Mrs. Lindsey was born in Camp Hill, Alabama August 17, 1932, to the late Maynard Henderson and the late Vira Corley Henderson.
