It was long been a tradition, and indeed the tradition continues. Last week 2022 Mr. and Miss LHS were crowned, and this year's honor goes to Jaelin Truitt Jakiya Little. Mr. and Miss LHS is the greatest honor a student can hold.
Each candidate had to meet several requirements, including a B average or higher on their transcript, participation in at least one school activity every year, and no recorded disciplinary infractions. Truitt and Little had to create a portfolio, submit an essay, and complete an interview conducted by a panel of teachers.
Additionally, the 2022-2023 Miss LANALA was warded, and this year's winner is Sophmore Anaid Ramos Gamez. Miss LANALA is a longstanding pageant with a tradition of celebrating the absolute best at Lanett.
Joining Gamez is 8th grader Kennedi Barker, who was named the 2022-2023 Junior Miss LANALA
