Mr. Bobby Gene “Bob” Elmore, age 77, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 27th, 2022 at his residence.
Bob was born on December 17th, 1944 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Chester Elmore and Bama Deal Elmore. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lanett. He was a kind and giving gentleman who had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He enjoyed watching movies and sports, especially with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always brought a smile to everyone’s face.
Bob is survived by his wife, Jody McManus Elmore; children, Julie LaFond (Stephen), Jessica Elmore Dawson (Jonathan), Jared Elmore (Rebecca), and McKenzie McManus; grandchildren, Katelin & Brandon LaFond, Savannah & Sawyer Dawson, Harper, Holland, & Isaiah Elmore; five nieces and two nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; special family friend, Teresa Honor. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Robert Elmore and Lonnie Elmore.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2022 at 11:00 AM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pastor John Samanie will officiate. Bob’s family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
