Yvonne C. Sorrells, 77, a resident of Roanoke, AL passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 3:00 PM EST from Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Whaley, Rev. Ricky Emery, and Dr. Darren White officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Lanett. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sorrells was born in Opelika, AL on November 1, 1944, and was a member of Temple Independent Baptist Church in Franklin, GA.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Raymond Sorrells; one grandchild, Kevin Whaley (Ashley); three great-grandchildren, Malachi Whaley, Grace Lyn Whaley, & Josiah Whaley, cousin, Clarence Booker; and several nieces and nephews.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Keith Thomas, Connor Meadows, Shane Jackson, John Emery, Glenn Vinson, and Bob Ogle. Honorary pallbearers will be Malachi Whaley, Holms Tako, and Ricky Mongo.
