CHAMBERS COUNTY- Last week Chambers County Engineer Josh Harvill spoke the Chambers County Commissioners regarding the Phillips Road Project in Huguley as construction.
"Earlier this month we did a lane closure west of Cusseta Road close to Circle K, and Chicken Stop east of 28th street. That is what we believe will be the last lane closure before Christmas. Contractors have been making progress. I know the public, and business owners have been feeling the impact of this project for a long period of time. I can honestly tell you that the contractors are doing all they can. This is the nature of taking on this kind of project. When you take a two-lane road and change it into a three-lane road with very little ride away it can be challenging. We ask for a little more patience.
Although there is no timeline for completion, Harvill says he will have an update for the next Commission meeting on Monday, December 19th, 2022.
