Rams Varsity Girls Soccer Team Make History

The VHS Rams Varsity Girls soccer team made history on Thursday night in capturing the program’s first-ever match victory on their home turf at Ram Stadium.

The Lady Rams squad captured an exciting 2 – 1 victory over the visiting team from Eufaula High School. Additionally, the win for the Lady Rams was their first-ever against the Lady Tigers Class 6A rival from Eufaula.

More importantly for Coach Will Elliott’s squad, the win for our Lady Rams was an important victory in the region.

The home match versus the Lady Tigers from Eufaula was an exciting back and forth battle with the Valley High team thankfully pulling out the victory. The Lady Rams were led in scoring on the offensive end of the field by Senior, Morgan Crowder, and Freshman, Molly Williams. Valley Head Coach, Will Elliott was ecstatic about the rewarding victory for his team.

Elliott noted, “I am super pumped and happy for our girls, this soccer team deserved this win for all of the hard work they have put in.” Elliott added, “We played harder and more physical, and it's just vindication for the effort this team has put forth.”

Coach Elliott and his Lady Rams team are looking forward with great anticipation as this season is turning the corner with higher expectations. Area fans are urged to come out to support the teams for their next match on the road at Callaway High School on Friday, April 8th before they return home on Monday, April 11th for a home match against the Hornets from Beauregard High School.
