Mrs. Sharon Fulghum Richardson, 86, of Little Texas, AL, and a former resident of Lanett passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at the Lanier Nursing Home in Valley.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022, at 11:00 AM EST from Johnson Memorial Gardens in Valley with Rev. Tim Calloway officiating.
Mrs. Richardson was born in Lanett on April 18, 1936. She was a graduate of Lanett High School. She worked at Jacob’s Pharmacy in West Point in the 50’s & 60’s, and then worked for West Point Pepperell. She loved to look after her cats and dogs, working in the garden with her husband, reading and growing roses. She was a member of Shawmut Christian Church, where she loved her church family and friends dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Luhta (Tommy); a son, Dale Richardson; grandchildren, Summer Patterson, Jason Morgan, Marcus Luhta (Deanna), Justin Richardson (Liz), & Levi Richardson (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Liam Richardson, Rhys Richardson, Brennan Richardson, Mercy Richardson, Anna Claire Richardson, Aiden Richardson, & Thomas James Luhta. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Syrvillia Noles Fulghum, her husband, Hershel, a great-grandson, Oliver Ellis Richardson, and her brother, Wayne Fulghum.
