Springwood's Burrows Signs With Point



LANETT- Last Wednesday, Springwood Softball Standout Alyssa Burrows signed her letter of intent to play for the Point University Women's Softball Team,


A very humbled Burrows who was surrounded by family, and friends told the Chambers Ledger that she is excited to play for Point University.


"I am excited to go to Point and to be close to home. It means a lot, and I am very appreciative of the opportunity", said Burrows.


Springwood Head Softball Coach Taylor Thrailkill was also there in support of her star pitcher.


"We are super proud of Alyssa, and we know that she will go very far in her journey with Point and we are looking forward to her final season with us beginning in January", said Thrailkill


Point University Assistant Softball Coach Sarah Warren was in attendance representing the Skyhawks.


"We are excited to have her in the circle and see what she can do softball as well as academically when she becomes a Skyhawk", said Warren.
