Swimming For State: Valley High School Swimmers To Compete In State Championship

VALLEY- Coming up this weekend members of the Valley High School Swim Team will be competing in the AHSAA Swimming & Diving State Championships at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center at Auburn University.
Ram Swimmers Maggie Jo Rennie, who placed 4th in the AHSSA Sectionals with a time of 26.40 ( a personal record) will be competing in the 50 Free, and the 100 Fly. Rennie placed 2nd in the 100 Fly with a time of 1:05.93 (another personal record).
Anslee Reaves, who is the current Sectional Champion in the 200 IM ( a personal record) with a time of 2:35.15
Boys Relay Team, who placed 3rd place in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:32.03. That team consists of Alex Gilson, Eli Rudd, Griffin Miller, and Javoris Sharpe.
"They have really worked hard. Valley High Swim Coach Julie Clark has been incredible. Jaxson Kite, who is also on the Point Swim Team, and serves as our Senior Swimmer Coach has also been instrumental to our success this year", said Valley Swim Team Head Coach Bobby Poer.
