Talking Dress Code: Chambers BOE Answers Questions

LAFAYETTE- On Tuesday, June 14th, the Chambers County Board of Education held a called meeting from their home office in LaFayette to discuss the protocol for the new school uniforms that will be implemented for the upcoming school year.

Old Navy, is working with the Chambers County School District on the new dress code revisions, as well as Sass & Class Boutique in Valley, and will be selling the school-approved uniforms.

" The Chambers County School District does not endorse specific providers, only to make those resources available to the parents.

"We are working now to streamline all of the dress code resources and will there will be a link on our Facebook page that will link to our website, and as we get these resources, and add them together, it will take you directly to the links of stores that will have pictures, and links to questions and answers that parents may have. We are reading the questions in our inbox, and are trying to answer them", said CCSD Superindent Casey Chambley as he addressed the school board on the issue.

Parents can take advantage of Alabama's tax-free weekend set for July 15th-17th on the purchase of school clothing, and supplies.
