Three Arrested In Lee County On Thousands Thousands Of Dollars In Stolen Property

On Wednesday, February 23rd, the Lee County Sheriff's Department announced the following arrest in Smiths Station regarding thousands of dollars in stolen property

On Feb. 9th, 2022, Michael Edward Moyer (38) from Smiths Station was apprehended in Wetumpka Alabama by Lee County and Elmore County Investigators in reference to an ongoing investigation into the theft of several thousand dollars worth of AT&T copper wire. At the time, Moyer was arrested in Elmore County on other charges and is currently awaiting transfer back to Lee County to face charges for crimes committed in Lee County.

The continuing investigation by Lee County Investigators has resulted in the development of multiple suspects being involved with Moyer and the thefts.

On February 14th, 2022, Brandi Michelle Cole (36) from Smiths Station was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property in the 1st Degree and Interference with Public Safety Communications. She has since been released on a $35,000.00 bond and ordered to wear an ankle monitor. Samantha Kaylee Greer (35) from Smiths Station was also arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property 1st Degree and Interference with Public Safety Communications. She has since been released on a $20,000.00 bond.
